4. Templates for poster presentations (22 June 2011)
Each poster presentation will be allocated an area of 180 x 120 cm2 (width x height). While the authors
may use their own poster templates, we place here two poster templates in portrait (90 x 120 cm2) and
landscape (120 x 90 cm2) orientations. To download them, please click at the links.
5. Draft technical program (20 June 2011)
The draft technical program is now available and can be downloaded by clicking at the link. Authors
please find and insert the session numbers in the header of your full papers before submitting them.
6. Extension of closing date for early bird registration (15 June 2011)
To help the authors who still have not registered for presenting their papers to COMPUMAG2011, we
have extended the closing date for early bird registration for 2 days, i.e. the new deadline is 24:00
GMT 17 June 2011. We will not extend the deadline any further as we must finalize the technical
program as scheduled. Those who miss the new deadline will have to pay the full registration rate.

Dear Authors of Compumag 2011 Sydney,
Please make sure to submit your full paper(s) by 1 July 2011.
If you have not already an account in the MC, please create one by signing in as a new user of the MC.
When you input the conference paper number, the ID must be furnished with the prefix CMP; for instance, if
your paper ID is 154 (this is equal to the digest number), type CMP-154. When submitting your full papers,
please follow the following instructions carefully:
(a) The only site where the papers for the conference may be submitted to us is
http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/magconf-ieee. Submitting a paper on any of our other sites will delay,
and may prevent, its being sent for review in conjunction with the conference.
(b) Authors who already have an account on any of our sites (regular TMAG, MAGCON, or Magnetics Letters)
should not create a new one to submit the paper. The same login information applies to all the sites.
Creating multiple accounts will only cause confusion and will delay the review process for the paper.
(c) After logging in, authors should go to the Author Center and follow the instructions there to submit the
paper. On the first submission screen they should expect to provide 2 items of information particular to the
conference:
(i) For "Manuscript Type", choose "Compumag 2011";
(ii) For "Conference Paper Number", enter the number manually as instructed, in the form "CMP-###".
(d) Authors should make certain to follow the submission sequence all the way through to the end, where they
will see a confirmation message and receive an e-mail. Uploading the manuscript file alone does not
complete the process.
(e) Authors should wait until they are certain they have a final, correct version of the manuscript before
submitting. They should not submit the same paper more than once; doing so will cause confusion and
delay the processing of the paper. Neither IEEE nor the conference staff can upload files or complete a
submission for the author.
Thank you for your contribution and assistance, and we look forward to seeing you at Compumag2011, Sydney.
Editorial Board, COMPUMAG2011
8. Notice from Editorial Board (24 April 2011)
Thank you for submitting digests to Compumag 2011. After a rigorous peer review, 672 digests have been
accepted for presentation to the conference. We have announced all review results by individual emails to
authors by now. However, in case you did not get the notification, please download the
list of accepted digest ID numbers (by clicking at the link), and check if your digest is listed. If the answer
is yes, you are cordially invited to register for presentation of your paper to COMPUMAG2011 and submit
a four page full paper for peer review for possible publication in IEEE Transactions on Magnetics.
We will distribute the USB-Combo of digests at Compumag 2011 conference. Before compiling the digest
proceedings, we would like to request you to have a final check of your digest. After revising your digest,
you can re-submit it through the ConfTool system by 31 May 2011. However, the title and author list should
not be changed. If they were changed without notifying both the associate editor and editorial board chairman,
the digest and the corresponding paper will be rejected.
Taking this opportunity, we also would like to remind you gently that the deadline for full paper submission is
1 July 2011. The instructions about how to submit on IEEE Manuscript Central will be announced later.
We look forward to seeing you at Compumag 2011, Sydney, Australia.
9. (20 April 2011)
Registration for participation in COMPUMAG2011 is now open, will be available until close of business on
15 July 2011. Please note all participants must pay appropriate registration fees, and all full papers of the
accepted digests must be presented to the conference before they are eligible for peer review for publication
in IEEE Transactions on Magnetics. No show papers will not be peer reviewed for journal publication.
To register, please go to Registration for Participation (click at the link). Please note that the registration
for participation is NOT conducted through Conftool system!!!
10. Full paper submission and publication (20 April 2011)
The review results of the submitted digests have been announced, and the authors of the accepted digests
are invited to submit their four page full papers for presentation to COMPUMAG2011, and possible journal
publication. For details, please go to Full Paper Publication (click at the link).
11. Announcement of review results
Thanks to the hard work of the Editorial Board, we have received the majority of review results from the peer
reviewers. After a careful consideration, the Editorial Board decided to announce the available review results
by emails to the corresponding authors. If you have not received an acceptance/rejection notice, please be
patient with us. We will contact you by email once the decision of your paper is made.
12. New Dates
Because of the unexpected lengthy digest review process, we are unable to announce the review results on
15 February 2011 as planned. We apologize for the delay. The review results will be assessed by the
ICS Board on 11 April 2011 and announced on 18 April 2011. Accordingly, we have also adjusted the
dates for registration and programs. For details, please visit Important Dates.
13. A package of exhibition and sponsorship has just been up-loaded. To down-load it, please click at
the link. Potential exhibitors and/or sponsors are invited to contact the conference organizer to
express their preference and/or request further information.
14. Through the LIDO Group, we have negotiated the best rates with numerous hotels near the
conference venue for COMPUMAG2011 delegates. To make a booking, please go to Accommodation.
15. The Digest Submission website has been closed. Currently, the Editorial Board is busy reviewing
all the submissions, and the review results will be announced on 15 February 2011. The website
will be open for registration for conference attendance on 1 March 2011.
16. The authors who have not finalised their submissions please do so as soon as possible as the
Conftool will close the site for digest submission at 24:00 (Sydney time) on 24 December 2010.
17. New closing date for digest submission
Corresponding to the request of many authors, the editorial board of COMPUMAG2011 has postponed the
deadline for digest submission until Wednesday 15 December 2010. Because of the very tight schedule for
digest reviewing, we will not be able to extend further the closing date.
18. Important information of full paper publication
All full papers presented to COMPUMAG2011 will be published in either IEEE Transactions on Magnetics
or COMPUMAG2011 full paper proceedings. (Click at the link to see details)
We have noticed that quite a few submission confirmation emails had been bounced back due to the wrong
email address. If you have not received the confirmation email to your submission, please login your
account in www.conftool.com/compumag2011/ and check your email address.
